Apostle Arthur T. Jones

 

Bishop Arthur T. Jones Sr.is founder of and Prelate of All People International Church (APIC), Inc.and the Father's Covenant International Fellowship (FCIF), headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. Bishop Jones is the husband of one wife, Pastor Sharon Patricia Cannon Jones for over 50 years. By living a life of honor and integrity he has earned great respect from his children, each of which has developed ministries under his tutelage. Bishop-Designate Arthur T. Jones Jr. (Tonya) Pastor of Impact Worship Center, Mableton, GA; Pastor Ardel T. Jones who serves as Executive Pastor with his father, and founder of "Life at the River International Ministries" his preaching ministry; and Shantel T. Jones-Cross (Herbert), National Minister of Music at All People International Church and Father's Covenant International, Inc. Bishop Jones and Bishop Sharon are most honored to be the parents of three adopted families, Walter (Denise), Robert (Carmella), and Jondrea (Phillip). They are the proud grandparents of six beautiful granddaughters, Aja, Asya, Tiana, Hannah, Carmen, Brittini, and two grandsons: Arthur T. Jones III and Jalen.

Bishop Jones was saved at the age of 15 and called into the preaching ministry at the age of 16. He grew up in the Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder Willie F. Faust, Sr. Tongue-tied and shy, he flourished into an anointed and powerful vessel for the Lord. In 1972 the Lord called the young Minister Arthur Jones to join the Apostolic Church of God in Christ under the guidance of Bishop M.C.H. Cooper who ordained him Elder. He served under Bishop Cooper until the Lord called him to Pastor. 

In 1974 at the age of 25 the Lord spoke to Bishop Jones' heart about establishing a church. After praying and seeking direction from God, his faith was placed in action on May 15, 1974, in the double-car garage of his parents. Bishop Jones preached untiringly in his garage church, establishing ministries and sending his young congregation forth to do a greater work for the Lord.

It is the vision of the All People International Church, Inc., to serve God, the community and the world with integrity and with the utmost excellence. The Lord placed in the heart of Bishop Jones to seek those who are lost in sin, bound and hurting by the trials of life and those who feel there is no hope. Bishop Jones has purposed to bring these to the knowledge and salvation of God. Using the Word of God for guidance Bishop Jones aspires to empower men and women to realize who they are in God and to present a life before men that they will take their rightful place as fathers and leaders in their homes and communities. He has a passion for the family.

Bishop Jones is the Presiding Bishop of five churches in Jacksonville, Florida (FCIF), one in Mableton, GA; one chartered church in Grange Westmoreland, Jamaica; forty-five churches and two orphanages in Haiti, West Indies - Port-Au-Prince, and once church in Brasilia, Brazil. His hands stretch to an orphanage in Nigeria. With the understanding that evolving generations present new and challenging issues, Bishop Jones aims to develop the multi-generational church, where the needs of all people of all generations are met. He challenges the young and the old to believe the Word of God and to verbally confess that they are the head and not the tail; the lender, not the borrower; always above and never beneath, to confess blessings on their families, their finances and everything they set forth their hands to do in righteousness. He is an anointed inspirational speaker and lecturer, addressing critical issues affecting every aspect of spiritual, human  and social development. A man of wisdom and understanding.

With a heart of reaching and fathering hurting men, Bishop Jones established, sons of Valor: Mentoring and Coaching Ministry. He aspires to teach the coming generations how to love God and keep Him first in their lives.

Bishop Jones started a weekly outreach stimulus ministry, which feeds and clothes those in the community every Tuesday and Thursday. Every Wednesday stimulus is given to the parishioners of the church. 

Many have been and are yet being blessed from this Ministry of Compassion, which is run by volunteers of the church. 

Bishop Jones believes in following the Word of God and strictly adheres to scripture by being a man of integrity, honesty, and positive influence. He sets a Godly example of good worth, while teaching men to love themselves and their family with an open heart. 

He is the recipient of the following honors and awards:

  • Honorary Doctorate in Divinity awarded by Truth Bible College Seminary

  • 2000 - My Sons Ministry Award

  • 2004 - Abba Award

  • 2008 - Pentecostal Celebration Award (A Living Legacy)

  • 2010 - Vision for Excellence Award by Matt Shrink, Public Defender, 4th Judicial Circuit of Florida

  • 2011 - Florida Gospel Legend Award

  • Awarded charter for the A.T. Jones University, Jacksonville, FL by Logos Bible College

He, along with the Spiritual Care Team, can be heard Monday through Friday at 7:45 A.M. on 1360 (AM) and 94.7 (FM) WCGL radio broadcast 'It's the Gospel'

Bishop Jones is highly respected and much loved by his family, the community and his many sons and daughters of the gospel. He is an anointed servant of God worthy of double honor. His motto is "Follow me as I follow Christ!"
